The Design Council recently published their new "Systemic Design Framework". See more details here:
Beyond Net Zero - A Systemic Design Approach
The Design Council was established in the UK by Winston Churchill’s wartime government in December 1944 to support Britain’s economic recovery. It's purpose is to "..make life better by design..". Their vision is a world where the role and value of design is recognized as a fundamental creator of value, enabling happier, healthier and safer lives for all.
The Systemic Design Framework builds upon the global success of Design Council’s Double Diamond (2004), which is a visual representation of the diverging and converging design process, which sits within their Framework For Innovation (2019).
I've tried to bring some of the key elements of the framework together in this image below:
- Six Principles
- Four Key Roles
- Types of Design Activities
